We got our tree up Saturday night. It took us until Sunday afternoon to get it decorated. Dusty always puts it together and fluffs it then the kids put the decorations on as I take them out of the boxes. Sara likes hers to be in little bunches and Andrew puts his at the top so Sara won't bother them. It's fun. If you could see everything up close you would understand. I love it to be like they like it. It makes me smile! Quite nights in the living room with just the lights twinkling are my favorite......wait did I say QUITE? Well, maybe not so quite but it makes for great memories!
Janette and I were just talking about how we love to sit in front of the tree and watch the lights. I know exactly what you mean about the kids and the ornaments. Our kids are a lot alike.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get ours up this weekend. I love to watch the kids put on the ornaments. Emilee trys to spread hers out evenly (she's OCD) but Carter likes his ALL to be right in the front so everybody can see them!!! Great memories!!!
ReplyDeleteWe plan to put the tree up today! Ornaments made by the kids or given to me by family members are the best. Yeah, those color coordinated trees in the stores are beautiful, but I like my tree better!
