I know, I said I wouldn't wait so long to update again, but this time I have good reason. I woke up Mother's Day morning early feeling the worst I have ever felt. The kids woke up to give me my presents and I did get them opened before getting sick. They were great and took care of me all day or should I say week. I opened a cute pink "MOM" shirt and the beginning of my set of clear red, silver lid canisters for the kitchen. AND two of the best cards ever, one from Dusty and the other from Andrew and Sara.
I went to the doctor Monday with fever, terribly awful horribly sore throat and my adnoids swollen the size of an apple(or so it felt) and no make up (that means I'm SICK). Mike asked me if I had to swine flu (he wore his pig nose to work that morning) and if I had been to Mexico. I told him sure, just there on vacation last week. (I'm so rich, that's what I do with my time.) Anyway, I was tested for flu.....no flu, no strep throat, ONLY a very infected throat. He gave me drugs to take twice a day and here I am among the living again!
When I say among the living, that's what I really mean. I can honestly say I have never been that sick in my 34 years of life. I think it runs a close race in pain with having my babies (or Sara, natural birth). I didn't get out of bed, eat or barely drink until Wednesday afternoon.
I went back to work on Thursday. It was good to feel better and be back in the swing of things. I have taken it pretty easy this weekend because my throat still sore. It is good to know that my family took and can take such good care of me. I think Dusty kinda freaked because he kept saying "you are never sick" but he cooked and cleaned and washed clothes.
God is good!
Sorry you have been sick, but glad you are feeling better. I think as we get older, the worse we feel when we get sick. That seems to be my case anyway. I was sick like that a few months ago, so I'm feeling your pain. Stay well!
