Where Do I Start?

We have had major computer problems as of late. Hopefully they will be fixed tomorrow. I have lots of news to update you on.
First, I went to Andrew's parent/teacher conference last Wednesday. As I thought, he had a C in Biology. He is going to work on that. He had A's and B's in everything else. His Geometry teacher had lots of good things to say and that makes a mama proud. He told me what a nice young man, I had. Polite, easygoing and the kids all liked him. I am sure I was smiling like an idiot as he was talking. Never meet the man, Mr. Morman, before then and yet I think he has really great taste.
I had worked until late Thursday night, but that was fine because I had a long weekend ahead.
Andrew had his yearly check up at Arkansas Children's Hospital. To see how that went, stay tuned..............I can't wait to tell you!

Sara's ParentTeacher Conference

Thursday marks the first p/t conferences for this school year. Employees of the district have their conferences early in the week because we are all working that long wonderful day and night. I had Sara's this afternoon. She did very good. She had all A's and S's. She is reading well, comprehension and fluency are both great. We are so proud of her. Wonder what she will talk us out of because she "made good grades"? No telling......
Stay tuned to see how Andrew does.......keep your fingers crossed on the Biology grade.

Sara's Gymnastics Class

I think I mentioned Sara started gymnastics classes a few weeks ago. She is loving it. And she is actually pretty good. Both my kids are limber. I don't know where they got it. She can already almost do the splits. They are doing flips on the bars, did floor exercises last week for the first time and are working on the balance beam. She and her friends are loving every minute of it.

Finally It's Friday!

It's Friday! It's been a busy week. I'm tired. Been that way all week, last night was the only night we didn't have something to do. Or I should say, not things we HAVE to do, just things we want and enjoy doing. We just got home from the ballgame. We left during halftime. It was a blow out. The score was 55 to 6 when we left. We were cold and needed hot chocolate. Now we are home warm and cozy and watching CSI from Thursday night.
Monday afternoon we went to White Oak State Park for a family picnic with mom and dad and my sister's family. We had a good time. Andrew fished. Andrew and I took a walk around some of the lake. The little kids and Pop and Gran took a walk on the nature trail. Dusty enjoyed the view. Andrew and I finally lost his artifical bait so he quit. I took several pictures. Here are a few of them.....

I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Internet's been down a couple of days. It rained so that's nothing new. And other than our busy days and no re-runs on our tv shows(yes, it's sad we love our shows) that is about the only reason I have for not posting. So let me get you up to speed.....
My dad's birthday was several days ago. We had chili dogs, lemon ice box pie(his all time favorite) and presents at his house.

Labe and Sara helping Pop open presents-

Andrew with the "A" candles(notice the "Valarie" unicorn still in the hallway outside my old bedroom door)-

The whole crew-Sara, Nash, Pop, Andrew, Labe and Sebastian-

Andrew is gone to Dallas this weekend. He went to go to the Texas State Fair but I think they opted out of that. I have only talked to him once and that was last night. He was having a good time. He played golf and had had wine and salad and was waiting for the main course, steak, to be ready. Yes, he had wine. Sabre' wine, to be exact. In Sabre's memory(he's Bob and Pam's dog that Andrew loved). Andrew also met Red. Red is their new Golden Retreiver dog, he's 4(they didn't want to train puppy). Andrew said he is very well trained, he was a rescue dog. He doesn't need a leash to be walked or so Andrew said. That impressed him. He seemed like was having a good time. Sara asked all day yesterday when he was going to be home. That was her first question this morning. She's happy it is today. Maybe that will mean we can get through the night tonight without fighting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Dusty is working all weekend. Sara and I got up yesterday and went to the Fall Festival and Trade Days uptown, did a little running around and came home. We came home to play softball. I told her I was going to put on my jogging pants, she said "You gonna jog in the house?", she thought that was hilarious. Had to tell her daddy when he got home and then put hers on last night when we ran to town and pretend to be slow motion jogging to the car.
Oh, well......that's about it. You haven't missed much. Just life. Need to mow to yard this afternoon, don't know if I will.

Post Game Recovery

I am just now recovering from the festivites of yesterday......I'm only able to post because I got to sleep late this morning. Much later than I have slept in a long, long time - 10:30!!
Friday morning I told the kids to get what they would need for the whole day and night because we would not be home until after the ballgame that night. I knew we would be leaving school and going directly to the Wolf Wagon to fold shirts and get it ready for sales that night. Wendy, Janet and I folded about 50 gillion (and that's after Wendy and I folded some Thursday before the homecoming parade) long sleeve shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts. Well, made not that many but it seemed close. We got shirts in for cooler weather and while other booster club members served at the chicken dinner that's what we did. It's fun, don't get me wrong, just makes for a long day and night. Little did I know that preparations for a Friday night ballgame begin so early. We got there about 4:30 and it's a busy place but maybe that's a little because it was homecoming.
We got all set up and sold stuff during the ballgame like always. Dusty had to work until 7:00. We got home about 10:30 and he was asleep on the couch. It was a good way to end a work week. And the Prescott Curley Wolves beat the Fouke Panthers to top it off!
Sara, Rylee, Garrett and Ty(Janet's grands) played until the game started and were very good. Andrew hung out with a few girls waiting for the game to start.

Andrew's Art

Andrew is taking Art I this year. It is a requirement and he wasn't thrilled about having to take it but I think he is enjoying it. He is doing really well. He did not get that from me, it had to have come from Dusty.
This is his last project he brought home to complete. I don't know what his grade is yet but I would give him an A on it.
